Spay and Neuter

The most-requested procedure,
done with the most care.

Spay and neuter surgery is the heart of our practice. We approach every case, from a routine cat neuter to a more complex canine spay, with the same standards of anesthesia, pain control, and attentive recovery.

Our Approach

Why high-volume
experience matters.

Spay and neuter surgery is technically straightforward when performed by an experienced team, and that's exactly why Simply Spayed is built around it. Dr. Finger has performed thousands of these procedures, and that experience shows in calmer patients, faster procedures, and more comfortable recoveries.

From the moment your pet arrives, the day is structured around clarity: clear pre-surgical assessment, attentive induction, precise surgery, and recovery monitoring through same-day discharge.

What to Expect

Surgery day, step by step.

1

Pre-Surgical Review

Dr. Finger reviews each patient's history before scheduling, age, weight, prior labs, medications, and any concerns.

2

Drop-Off and Exam

A calm drop-off window with a thorough physical exam, IV catheter placement, and an individualized anesthesia plan.

3

Surgery and Monitoring

The procedure performed with continuous anesthetic monitoring and full sterile technique in our dedicated surgical suite.

4

Recovery and Discharge

Attentive recovery monitoring through same-day discharge, with detailed written instructions for home care and a plan for follow-up with your family veterinarian.

A note on complications

Even routine surgery deserves the highest standard.

Spay and neuter surgery has well-understood complication rates, and our protocols are designed to keep them exceptionally low. We plan anesthesia carefully for each patient, monitor continuously, and communicate with your family veterinarian so post-operative care returns smoothly to your home practice.

A Short Film in Production

The surgery,
from the front door
to the recovery suite.

Here is what that standard looks like in practice. A two-minute walkthrough of an actual visit, from the moment you arrive to the moment your pet rests in the recovery kennel. Quiet, careful, and pace-led by Dr. Seth Finger.

Filming begins before opening. Final edit expected in time for the first public screening.
